I have a 3800X that I would like to try manually overclocking.
using MSI x570-a-pro.
I have ran p95 small FFTS, with auto PBO, auto vDroop. I notices the following after 1 hour (hwInfo):
Min 1.231V
Max: 1.262V
Average: 1.25V
I am wanting to try a manual OC.
Before I start, I have a couple questions. What voltage should I start with? Should I stick to 1.231V idle, or after vdroop? Should I try a higher voltage, with a droopy LLC that will hit 1.231 under p95 load, but stay higher than that daily?
Is it safe to do the overclocking in RyzenMaster, and then copy those settings to the bios? I was thinking of leaving voltage to auto in bios, and setting voltage and frequency in RM.
Thanks in advance
