It is advisable to use Single BIOS mode such that the second chip is untouched. Flash only via USB in the BIOS itself via Q-Flash. Don't flash in Windows or other OS.
Try to load Optimized Defaults so that all settings are stock before flashing the BIOS.

When you have a corrupt main BIOS you can then flash over the main BIOS by switching the BIOS to the 2nd BIOS.

1. Set board to single BIOS mode if not already.
2. Boot off the backup BIOS
3. Once in the BIOS flip the switch to the BIOS you want to flash,
4. Use Q-Flash to flash the BIOS. After reboot it may power cycle up to 5 times for memory training reasons.

Takes three restarts for pc to work

Hey guys so title says it all,

I have had my PC for about 4 years now and for the last 3 - 5 months when I turn the PC off and come back to it the next day occasionally it will start and there will be no display on the monitors, but on second restart it will bring up a screen which I have attached, then on third restart it will start normally with no error messages or anything.

Any ideas?

Thanks !

Also I was not sure where to post this but seeing as it was a intel mobo/cpu I thought this was the next best place :)

What is safe RPM usage on my Navi 5700?

I suspect AB cranks it up way to high. 4566 rpm! In normal use there is no need for it. But I want to play around with some things... Could it damage the fan?

Would the RTX 2070-Super be considered an upgrade or a side-step from a EVGA GTX 1080 FTW2? Thanks

Selling my old rig.

Prices are OBO, willing to discuss combo deals.

Depending on the number of items purchased, I can include a 128GB Samsung SSD and the Hyper 212 cooler. Just depends if they fit in the box and if you want them.
The SSD is pretty old, 830-840 EVO generation.

Core i7 4790k - $200 (4790K48G132V)
This is a Silicon Lottery binned model. 4.8 GHz with 1.32 Volts.
No box or accessories included.

16GB G.Skill Ares DDR3 2133 RAM (F3-2133C11D-8GAO) - $60
4 sticks of 4GB. XMP 2133 runs fine on the paired i7.

Asus Maximus VII Hero Z97 - $150
Includes box and most accessories.

(Power Supply Redacted - sorry)

Hi Guys im curious if it is possible to shunt mod a Galax 1660 ti I own this card but i dont want to pull it apart unless i know this is achievable.

I havent had any luck finding on the internet pictures of the pcb front and back of this card.

Also when it comes to shunt modding can i put a peice of solder to bridge across the shunt??

It might not have huge gains but I want the fastest 1660 ti :)

which is better and why

im torn between a 3600 or 2600x for gaming the 2600x is obviously cheaper and would save me money im just not sure the performance gains of the 3600 warrant its 200$ price tag

GTX 1050 shunt mod? Anyone done it? Increase BIOS powerlimit?

$

So I got a HTPC set up with a Ryzen 2700 and a GTX 1050 that I got as placeholder until GTX 1650 low profile cards come out, is there some way to increase the power limit on this thing? My card is the MSI GTX 1050 2GB Low Profile. Its not fast but I just like pushing overclocks on everything lol

Its always bumping against the 75W limit and I know it doesn't have a pcie 6-pin connector so technically increasing it would be "unsafe" but so is overclocking of any type so has anyone done a shunt mod on the GTX 1050/1050Ti? I can't seem to find the shunts at all, and I tried flashing it with a Strix GTX 1050 that has a 6-pin but that just bricks it because it doesn't want to post as it checks if there's a 6-pin connected which this card obviously doesn't have any.

Hello.

I don't often post on this site, but I recently noticed my SN had changed from navy color to lilac. What does this signify?

Is wireless mice less prone to interference or more?

I feel like my mouse is getting interfered with, especially since it has to be touching other cables such as the monitor and stuff. Since wireless is.... wireless and doesnt have to around other cables, would the interference be less?

I know that wireless used to be bad in the past, but that has changed now.
